Pip’s Mobile Bicycle Mechanic aims to meet all our customers needs and servicing requirements. The following terms and conditions apply to all service carried out with Pip’s Mobile Bicycle Mechanic.

  • Payments can be made in Cash, Eftpos, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express forms.
  • Minimal to no change may be available at time of service.
  • All services require a booking. Jobs cannot be “squeezed in”
  • Customer bookings can be made via Phone, Email, or website booking. In order to make the most efficient use of time and distances, your desired booking time and date may not be available. We will do our best to book you in at a time and date of your convenience, however please understand that on certain days we may be unable to attend your location due to scheduling conflicts.
  • Booking times may be altered by the business in order to best suit travel requirements on the day. You will be notified of any changes to your booking before they are made.
  • Bookings may only be made in the designated service area as shown on this website.
  • Bookings made outside of the service area will be cancelled, and customers contacted.
  • Due to the size of our service area, your booking may be rescheduled to a more suitable time for better efficiency for our mechanic’s travel needs. For example, if a job is booked in Geelong, then the next job is booked in Warrnambool, The later job will likely be rescheduled to another time or date after other closer services.
  • Pip’s Mobile Bicycle Mechanic reserves the right to charge a Call Out Fee at the discretion of the mechanic on site, if the customer declines to go ahead with booked work. The Call Out Fee has the value of $60 and is visible and explained in our price list.
  • Pip’s Mobile Bicycle Mechanic reserves the right to charge a Minimum Threshold top up on any job that is billed below our minimum threshold. Minimum Threshold for servicing is $60, the top up is only to this amount, you will not be charged more than $60 if your service requirement is billed less than this. For example, a $40 job would have an attached $20 minimum threshold top up, to get it to the $60. The Minimum Threshold is visible and explained in our price list.
  • The Business reserves the right to deny to service bicycles that the mechanic deems to be unsafe to work on.
  • We will happily service E-Bikes, however will only service branded E-Bikes and branded motors. Bicycles converted to E-Bikes by the use of after market kits will NOT be serviced by Pip’s Mobile Bicycle Mechanic.
  • Cancellations must be made a minimum of 24 hours before the scheduled service. If cancellation occurs within 24 hours of a scheduled service, the business reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee in line with the value of the Call Out Fee.
  • Urgent (less than 12 hours notice) cancellation or alteration of bookings is only available via phone.
  • Parts required for jobs may not be in stock at time of service, and will potentially need to be ordered. Parts ordering can take up to a week to receive from suppliers. In the case of parts on order, we prefer to bring your bike back to our home base workshop, and return it to you when the parts come in, and the job is completed.
  • Services DO NOT INCLUDE cost of any parts needed for repair. These costs will be quoted to you upon inspection of the bike. Parts Installation may incur additional labour charges, which will be quoted to you upon inspection of the bike. Please see individual labour charges on Services and Pricing page.
  • The Business reserves the right to add additional labour charges to a booked job where necessary. Additional labour will always be quoted before going ahead. Please note that it may not be possible to fix an issue on a bike if the customer chooses not to proceed with an additional labour charge relevant to this issue.
  • Bookings may be cancelled at any time without explanation, compensation, or notice.
  • Bookings cancelled by Pip’s Mobile Bicycle Mechanic will be contacted and rescheduled if possible.
  • Contact after cancellation will usually occur within 24 hours, however may be up to several days later. We will do our best to contact you ASAP.
  • Customers not present upon arrival at the time of a booking will be contacted by our mechanic. If customer is not contactable, unavailable, or otherwise unable to attend, the mechanic will leave the site and a charge of $60 will be listed on the customers account, payable before any future bookings will be attended by our mechanic.
  • The business reserves the right to refuse service to customers who have cancelled bookings repeatedly on short notice.
  • Payment of invoices is required on the day of completion, or on/before delivery to the customer.
  • If payment is not met, the mechanic may hold your bike until such a time as the payment is processed.
  • Bikes held due to lack of payment will be held for a maximum of 90 days, at which point they will be disposed of.
  • Bikes held for Pick-up & Drop-off servicing will be returned to customers as soon as possible, and at an agreed upon time.
  • Bikes held for Pick-up & Drop-off servicing where a return time cannot be agreed upon, or payment is not made, will be held for a maximum of 90 days, at which point they will be disposed of.
  • Pip’s Mobile Bicycle Mechanic reserves the right to terminate a service at any time due to aggression, hostility, or poor behavior of the customer.
  • The business reserves the right to refuse service to customers who have been abusive in past interactions.
  • Arrival time at your location may vary from the time that is booked. If our mechanic is late, you will be contacted.
  • In the case of bookings running over time, the mechanic may contact you prior to your booking to reschedule, due to time limitations.
  • It is required that all customers refrain from interacting with our mechanic’s tools and equipment, unless given express consent by the mechanic to do so.
  • The Learning Service is booked for the relevant number of attendees at the time of booking. Any additional attendees on the day will be permitted at a rate of $30 per person, and upon the express consent of the mechanic on site.
  • Learning service class size is limited to 5. For information on large class numbers please contact us via email or phone.
  • The Learning service will perform work on 1 (one) customer bike. Additional participants are encouraged to bring their own bikes, however these bicycles may not receive as much attention as the primary bike, and are not required to be serviced.
  • Pip’s Mobile Bicycle Mechanic takes no responsibility for damaged bicycles, parts, tools, or other items, property, or facilities that occur during and after our Learning Service.
  • Pip’s Mobile Bicycle Mechanic takes no responsibility for existing damage on customers bicycles.
  • Pip’s Mobile Bicycle Mechanic takes no responsibility for perceived damage to customers bicycles that are supposed to have occurred during service or transport. Perceived refers, but is not limited to “not feeling right”, “not looking right”, and “not how it was given to the mechanic.”
  • A full assessment of customers bikes will be made at the beginning of every booking, and notes kept. Pip’s Mobile Bicycle Mechanic is not responsible for any damage that appears in these notes.
  • Pip’s Mobile Bicycle Mechanic takes no responsibility for damaged bolts, fasteners, fastening interfaces, threads, or mounting surfaces. If bolts are rounded out, snapped, or otherwise damaged, replacements may be sourced from our holding of assorted fasteners, however may not be available at the time of booking.
  • By booking a service with Pip’s Mobile Bicycle Mechanic, you agree to all the above terms and conditions.
